The driving force of our business, the reason it runs so well is because of our awesome office team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our company runs as smoothly as possibly and our customers and workforce are kept happy.

So let’s introduce them….

Solar PV Co-Ordinator

Ainsley started working for us in August 2022, project managing the Solar PV Installs taking place.  He came on board at the point that the Solar PV side of our company had really started to boom, and we required extra support in co-ordinating the jobs.  Ainsley’s job role is to ensure all Solar PV installations run as smoothly as possible. His main task is to ensure everything is in place and ready for an installation to take place, which includes;

  • Liaising with wholesalers.
  • Ensuring all materials and supplies are ordered and available for the installation date.
  • Liaising with National Grid.
  • Ensuring the Scaffolders are booked in.
  • Keeping our work force up to date on the progresses of jobs.
  • Most importantly, communicating with our customers to ensure they receive excellent customer service.

Once the Solar PV installation is complete, Ainsley ensures all paperwork is present and correct.  He will then follow up with our customers to ensure they receive all of their relevant paperwork and to make sure they are happy with their new Solar PV System.

Business Owner

Ben is the owner of Electrical Innovations.  The brains behind the operation, the big boss.  Ben started his electrical apprenticeship at the age of 16 and has worked for various electrical companies over the years, including a large Solar Installation company.  In 2014 Ben decided to start up on his own doing general electrical works.  He soon realised he had to take on staff to keep up with the work demand.  From here, his company then progressed to include home security.  The company grew larger, with Ben taking on more staff, including our office team, expanding the van fleet and acquiring business premises.  The company has now expanded even further to include Solar PV Installations. Ben is now mainly office based and works hard running the company, ensuring a constant stream of work is brought in, and that our company name remains something to be proud of.

Office Manager

Charl joined our office team in August 2020, on a part-time  (couple of hours a day) basis.  Her role was to help with answering the phone and following up messages.  As our company grew, Charl’s job role soon turned into a much more demanding role, requiring a lot more hours to be filled.  Due to this, Charl was promoted to our Office Manager.  Charl is the main point of call for our customers. Her main job roles being:

  • Following up calls and messages.
  • Booking jobs in the diary.
  • Liaising with our on site team and our office team about jobs.
  • Overseeing the smooth running of jobs.
  • Sending out quotes and invoices.

Most importantly, Charl communicates well with our customers, ensuing they are kept fully in the loop and are happy with the service they are receiving.

Operations Manager

Colin came to work with us back in 2016.  Ben and Colin have been good friends for many years and have worked together at other electrical companies.  So when the business started to grow, Ben knew Colin would be the perfect person to have on board.

Colin started working with us as an Electrician, but as our company has grown, Colin has taken on the role of Operations Manager.  Although still on the tools, Colin spends time in the office ensuring jobs are running smoothly and organising our team on site.

Social Media Marketing Manager

Kelly started working with Ben in Dec 2016.  As the first office team member, she was in charge of all general administrative tasks.  As the company grew, we required more work to come our way. Which is where Kel took on the role of marketing.  With a degree in graphic design, it seemed a natural progression for her.  The role quickly became focused on Social Media Marketing, and this became Kel’s main job role in the company.

The majority of our work derives from Facebook and TikTok, so Kel is in charge of ensuring our pages are kept up to date with daily posts.  This involves collating content and developing posts, either photos or videos, that are suitable for all social media platforms.  Kelly also keeps our blogs up to date on our webpage,  posts regularly to Google My Business and ensures our Check A Trade Account is up-to-date.

Junior Solar Designer

Kitty joined our office team in September 2022, she is currently at College and works with us on a part-time basis as a Junior Solar Designer.

Kitty’s main job role is to respond to Solar enquires that come through to us.  Using a Google map aerial photo of a potential customer’s house, Kitty will design a plan for where Solar PV Panels could be placed in order for them to reach the optimum amount of sunlight.

Alongside this plan, Kitty with give the potential customers an estimated guide price and supply them with any extra information they will need to be aware of, before they go ahead with an installation.
